My Other Brother Darrell's is somewhat of a South End Halifax Landmark. Opened years ago as a place to eat while waiting for your laundry to finish, it offered a solid diner-like menu. Over the years not much has changed. The diner menu lives on with pita wraps and pub-like fare winning out over more sophiticated dishes. My latest visit took me to MOBD during the lunch hour of a beautiful summer day. There was one booth left in the joint and we settled right in a began to wait. More...
The table had not been cleaned since the last visitor. My companion got tired of waiting and started to clean it herself! The waitress immediately showed up and cleaned off the table. So much for quick service. We placed our order: the Classic Pita Sub for me and the corn chowder and salad for my companion. It wasn't delivered at a fast-food pace, but the flavour made up for the wait. Summary: Reasonable value for excellent taste and quality.
